  12. 12. Methodology I gave the users 3 tasks for each category. The tasks replicated how easily they were able to: ● To find the filters, ● Apply the filters ● Save the filters
  13. 13. Methodology Some users saw the multiple search option first, and vice versa in order to eliminate sequential bias. The scenarios varied between the prototypes in order to not make them too similar.
  14. 14. Multi-Search Bar Tasks Task 1 You are preparing for a client meeting. The client recently added Adzuna to their vendor mix, and they want to know how that's doing. How would you use filters to accomplish this? Task 2 You also want to look at performance across all sources. How would you do that? Task 3 You decide that you want to save the filter set for later use, how would you do this

The client recently added multiple indeed vendors to their vendor mix, and they want to know how all of them are doing. How would you use filters to accomplish this? Task The client wants to know how all of the 20 engineering campaigns within all of the indeed sources are doing. Task 3 You decide that you want to save the filter set for later use, how would you do this?

  18. 18. The most problematic task was finding the saved filter options. 3 users had some issues whereas one could not complete without help. Results
  19. 19. Suggested Changes for Save Options 1 Seperate the saved filters and save filter into separate sections. 2 Put the option for save filter on the right. 3 Improve the copy. “Apply a saved filter or create a saved filter”
  20. 20. Users’ preferences were determined by similarities to search patterns they were shown before.
  21. 21. “This reminds me of Excel.” “This looks similar to the search in insights.”
  22. 22. However... They had different mental models on what reminded them of what. Some thought the multisearch looked similar to insights and vice versa.
  23. 23. There were no strong preferences for each either version. There was mostly positive feedback. Results
