  1. 1. Balancing energy needs Energy intake is the energy that we get in our food in a day. Energy output is the energy that our body use in a day. If the energy intake is greater than energy output, then fat is stored in the body mass increase and it can becoming overweight or even obese.
  2. 2. The Stomach and Small Intestine The stomach is a muscular bag that usually hold about 1 litre of food but can stretch to accommodate more. The small intestine is not really so small as it is about 6 metres long; however its diameter is less than that of the large intestine.
