  2. 2. Resources History Throughout history, people that lived in 5000 years ago, had no electricity thus people needed to depend on nature (Niels and Yankelevitch). The main energy that creates heat and light is the sun. Life is very simple and everyday is the same in that time; wake up in the morning, prepare weapons for hunting, eat raw meat and sleep after the sun set. The world had no electricity; they used slaves to get comfort, to do anything which their bosses want them to do. After, people discover thing that can generate power: electricity. People begin to use it frequently in everyday life. Scientists in later time try to develop and build better sources of energy for human. As the technology develops, the world needs more energy every year. On the other way, carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas increase, which is harmful for the environment. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain and heat. Renewable energy includes biofuels, biomass, wind energy, solar energy, geothermal energy and hydro power. Although renewable energy is very expensive, unreliable and create problem to human and animals, it gives jobs, generates large amount of power and prevents global warming. Many types of renewable energy are creating problem to human and animals and it is very expensive and unreliable. There are many examples which show negative effects of using renewable energy. The first problem when using renewable energy is that it uses very large land and a huge number of generators such as solar cell or wind generators. It requires 2500 square kilometers to produce 1000 megawatts. The article states that Taxes uses 780000 square kilometers to produce enough for the city. Using large land is bad because the land should be use to plant food for humans and animals; food is the main things that human needs. Renewable energy also kills numerous birds; it is very common that birds get killed when they are migrating
  3. 3. to other countries. Birds get killed because they cannot see the blade of the turbine when it is rotating. According to the survey, hundreds of birds are killed every year in the Altamont. Renewable energy can disturb television signals because the large structures can interfere with TV reception. It interferes with the TV signal because the electromagnet can cause effects, diffraction or reflection. Renewable energy is very expensive, it is far more expensive. The US has invested 15 billion dollars in order to have 15000 megawatts capacity (Tyagi). Wind power does not work properly and is inconsistent. As the wind blows, turbines spin, electricity is generated, but if the wind does not blow, the turbines are idle and useless (Niels and Yankelevich). Wind power and solar cell are not hundred percent effective because they depend on the day. Some days have strong wind but some days have little wind but some days have no wind. Therefore it is not sure that will generate the amount of energy expect. Renewable energy will hardly generate maximum power. Renewable energy gives a large environmental benefit and is sustainable. Global warming is the most important things that pressures humans to use alternative energy. It will cause temperature and sea level rises, ice melts, new types of disease. Renewable energy is the best source then any sources; it works better than fossil fuels. Renewable energy that are popularly used in the new civilization are wind power and solar power. Renewable energy is also known as “Clean power or Green energy”, it creates no air pollution (Niel and Yankelevish). Using renewable energy prevents the ecological crisis that global warming is causing to our world every day (Smith). According to the leading green article, in the Devon and Cornwall, governments use renewable energy power to generate electricity for their people, the renewable energy produce energy enough power for 130875 homes and the carbon dioxide is reduced by 3 million tons (A bright future for solar power- leading green). Even though renewable energy uses
  4. 4. a large amount of land to create massive electricity enough for everyone, the farmers can still farm the land that the turbines are on. Renewable energy is a sustainable source such as wind, water and light because in our world, the sun rises every day, wind blows every day. Therefore, humans can use the nature power to give them benefit. It is sustainable because it gives a stable domestic energy supply, it also opposes and prevents global warming. In Belgium, the European Renewable Energy Council invested on renewable energy to protect greenhouse gas and saved 180 million dollars. Renewable energy prevents people from “danger” produced by coal and nuclear power. Sven Teske said that electricity can meet the people is needs, and can save trillions of dollars forever. Carbon dioxide will reduce in half by 2050. Wind power is easy to obtain because windmills can be found anywhere in the world such as ocean, sea or in land. Renewable energy is the one of the most reliable resource because it does not work like coal and oil, which takes it many millions year of reforming in the internal’s earth (Emoore). “Removing dependency on oil rich countries, no longer will a handful of oil rich countries hold the rest of the world hostage because their oil is needed” (Smith) Renewable energy is a very good advantage because, nowadays people depend on oil, therefore they need to buy oil from other countries and it prevents money leaking away from the country, because people can make their own energy. Secondly, oil is not last forever, so people need to prepare new source of energy for them in the future. Renewable energy gives jobs for people and saves money. The world should use renewable energy because fossil fuel creates negative result to the environment and also expensive. Renewable energy factories are creating jobs for people. From Alternative Sector, experts say that the US spent 18 billion dollars promising would prevent the loss of crucial jobs (Hefferman). Wind power is supported highly in the Middle East by offering 40 percent more
  5. 5. jobs per dollar than coal. The power taken from, the wind generates about 300 million US dollars in export revenue (Hu, jia). People in the new age should be aware of the menace of the global warming by gather people to do things against nowadays action. The world should have all energy in renewable form because it will save massive of money as Sven Teske of Greenpeace International said that “We will save a trillions of dollars; a massive US 180 billion a year, forever (“Renewable energy future save billions”). The Alliance’s Clean Energy Investment Authority will generate 1 US trillion dollars and create more than 3 million jobs (Eckhart). University of Tennessee Department of Agricultural Economics shows that American’s farm reach to the 25 percent of people’s need. It generates about 700 billion dollars and it creates jobs approximately 3 to 4 million (“Expert say renewable energy key to economic recovery”). Renewable energy is very expensive, unreliable and creating trouble to human and animals but it gives jobs, create large amount of power and avoid global warming. Renewable energy allows companies to grow economically. This creates a lot of jobs which is support local citizens and the reality is, workers received more wages than fossil fuel. Even though it has disadvantages but it gives many ideal advantages that help in agricultural, economic, politic, financial and environment. So our world should use renewable energy for the “Green and Clean world”.
