3. Numbering Of Cranial Nerve ?
- Traditionally, These Nerve Are
Abbreviated by their corresponding
Roman numerals.
- They are numbered according to where
their nuclei lie in the brain stem

4. Types :- In Agantha (jaw less) Animal :There are about 8-10 pair cranial nerve
- In Gnathostomata Animal :There are about 10-12 pair cranial nerve
- In Anamniotes :10 Pair of Cranial Nerve Found
- In amniotes. :Cranial nerves XI and XII .
- Note :CN XI controls some muscles of the shoulder girdle
CN XII) is involved in control of the tongue

6. Names & Function : I -Olfactory - olfaction (smell)
 II -Optic - vision (Contain 38% of all the axons connecting
to the brain.)
 III -Oculomotor - eyelid and eyeball muscles
 IV -Trochlear - eyeball muscles
 V -Trigeminal - facial and mouth sensation , chewing
 VI -Abducens - eyeball movement

 VIII -Auditory - hearing and balance
 IX -Glossopharyngeal - taste, swallowing
 X -Vagus - main nerve of the parasympathetic nervous
system (PNS)
 XI -Accessory - moving head and shoulder
 XII -Hypoglossal - tongue muscles
