GE Insurance Solutions
As Technical Lead at Cognizant I head a team of 8 members. I am handling Business Critical
application L&H Application.
Roles and Responsibility
• I handle and provide technical support for around 18 applications in which 8 applications are
business Critical applications.
• Being senior member working from London office, my responsibility includes providing
technical solution for any production problems that impacts business.
• I lead end to end major Releases which involves lot of manual effort, complete planning,
coordinating with various stake holders, and drive the entire release.
• As an Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX resource, I have to provide technical solutions during batch
failures with less turnaround team.
• Provide 24 * 7 support to all application and primary point of contact between Cognizant and
client.
• Fix all UNIX & Database related technical issues.
• On regular intervals I join meetings with Infrastructure experts to discuss on any new technical
implementations along with development team.
• I need to understand new business requirement and interpret to technical language and work
closely with development team to take it further.
• Provide Data fix in minimum time such that business users are not affected.
• Provide Service improvement ideas and minimize manual effort by implementing automation
tasks using Unix and Oracle concepts.
• Handle all critical servers located at Armonk and Zurich
• Handling both OLTP (Online Transaction Processing)& IE (Information Exploitation)
