  1. 1. WordOrderinQuestionsIn questions you usually have to put the auxiliary verb(or the main verb “be”) before the subject. Questionwords are put at the beginning of the sentences.Question word – auxiliary – subject – main verb – objectWhen did you have a party?You don’t use an auxiliary verb if you ask for the subject.In this case the question word simply takes the placeof the subject.E.g. Who asked you? What happened? – subject questionsIn case there is a preposition following a verb, don’t startyour question with it.E.g. Where are you from? not From where are you?Who did he go with? not With who did he go?
