(12)The angel of the Lord appeared to
him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is
with you. (13) “Sir,” Gideon replied, “if
the Lord is with us, why has all this
happened? And where are all the
miracles our ancestors told us about?
Didn’t they say, ‘The Lord brought us up
out of Egypt’? But now the Lord has
abandoned us and handed us over to the
Midianites.” (14) Then the Lord turned
to him and said, “Go with the strength
you have, and rescue Israel from the
Midianites. I am sending you!”
Judges 6:12-14
3. We must learn how to put our
strength in GOD! This will give us
vigor to finish the race with success.
Psalm 27:2
When the wicked, even mine enemies and
my foes, came upon me to eat up my
flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Vigor - ability to grow
4. 1 Corinthians 15:43
“Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but
they will be raised in glory. They are buried in
weakness, but they will be raised in strength.”
In order to transform our
weakness into strength, the
weaknesses must be buried.
5. Gideon was weak an
insignificant. He had no valor
and was rejected by all. But
the Word of God was so
powerful, that it
transformed all his
circumstances.
6. The LORD said “mighty hero” to someone
who had lost the strength to conquer
when his family was rejected.
It was hard to believe that the Lord could
be speaking to someone without courage
to confront such a large foe.
7. What helped Gideon to see the words of angel fulfilled?
He believed
He accepted them with
all his heart When someone
accepts the Word
with all his/her
heart, a miracle
takes place.God has decreed that those whom
He sends have His support. We
have been sent by the Lord.
8. Fear – the greatest enemy of the anointing.
If you confront fear, there is VICTORY!
Inferiority – a spirit that makes you feel incapable.
God values you and He has great blessing for your life.
Negativity – a spirit that controls your thoughts. It
makes you see adversity bigger than it really is.
