Ifyou are running late and all that you have time todo is swish some water in your mouth and spit itout, make sure that you do it.Brush and Floss Gently but ThoroughlySecond, you will want to brush your teeth thoroughly and make sure that you get to all of yourteeth. While you are brushing, make sure that you do not press down too hard to try to get moreplaque off of your teeth or make your teeth whiter for your appointment.Brush lightly so you are not hurting your gums and to ensure that you are not causing problemswith your mouth before you head to the dentist. You want to understand the importance ofbrushing to get as much buildup or plaque off, but not scouring or hurting your teeth. After you have brushed your teeth, you should also go through your mouth and floss thoroughly. Flossing can be difficult, but you want to make sure that you get to all of your teeth and that you are able to get as much buildup out of the spaces between your teeth. Be Honest If you are nervous about going to the dentist, you should be open with your dentist about how you are feeling.
