Program Structure <ul><li>Lucky #7 Wellness Program </li></ul><ul><li>Spiritual-Energy : Diggin Deep: Life class </li></ul><ul><li>We will use Oprah’s Life Class as a model to discover our true selves by understanding & focusing on the values we hold for ourselves and how to apply them to life. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Ex: Meditation, Contemplation, lantern metaphor, Personal experiences </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Physical Body : Get it right, get it tight </li></ul><ul><li>We will work with with community partners and research fun physical ways for youth to stay fit and activate. Demonstration videos will be submitted to the online magazine. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Ex: Zumba, Wii Fit, Yoga, dance, cooking, water aerobics, etc. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Luck = Preparation + Opportunity </li></ul>

Being honest with ourselves will allow us to be real with others and constantly reflect our true selves. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Ex: Roll plays, hypothetical situations, Personal stories, vocabulary, Service Learning… </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Environmental : Go Green </li></ul><ul><li>We will work with Madison environmental groups, learning tips on how to be environmentally responsible, in a way that we can incorporate in our everyday life.   14. 14. Back Story <ul><li>Being a young, black, feisty 23 year old graduate from UW-Madison, I found myself unhappy with my current Job situation. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, I quit in spontaneous frustration. </li></ul><ul><li>Using my setback as a setup for a comeback, I decided to dedicate every moment of my life developing myself for the better, doing what feels right and achieving my goals and dreams. </li></ul><ul><li>… .. </li></ul><ul><li>It just so happened that what I loved was cultivating and empowering others to do the same! </li></ul>
