In 2003 I took an expedition to the headwaters of the Amazon in Bolivia. This presentation revisits the sights of the rainforest and reflects on leadership lessons learned: re-energizing, keeping it simple, being open to new ideas and recognizing the importance of detail.

  2. 2. In 2003 I ventured to the Headwaters of the Amazon in Bolivia
  3. 3. My view of the world was enhanced through new places, ideas and ways of being.
  4. 4. My Journey took numerous directions and pathways that could not be rushed.
  5. 5. Over rocky obstacles, against the current, around bends, the muddy powerful amazon rages on.
  6. 6. In fascination, I watched the capybara and other wildlife, their dexterity and adaptability.
  7. 7. Staying at an eco-lodge allowed me to learn from native people about their rainforest.
  8. 8. Beauty was all around, day and night.
  9. 9. An excursion further up the river brought me to a native village.
  10. 10. Sharing stories built a closer connection. Making Yarn Carving Crafts
  11. 11. I was reminded life can be simple and joyful.
  12. 12. There is so much to learn from the world around us. Take time, explore.
