They’re a great way to get a little more bang out of my blog post. (Content I’ve already written.) 3. It helps me gage my audience and find out what they’re most interested in. I can go back and see what presentations were more popular and that helps me to choose things to write about.

12. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. Take your blog post and turn it into a presentation using PowerPoint or Keynote! Now, with just a little more effort, you’ve totally repurposed your content and you’re reaching a whole other medium!

14. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. There are lots of presentation sites out there – more seem to be popping up everyday. My strategy is to keep it simple. I have 3 platforms that I upload presentations to which works well.

16. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. SlideShare has changed a little bit over the last year for the good! The service, which has over 60 million users, is now FREE. I get quite a bit of website traffic from SlideShare. 

17. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. A HUGE plus about SlideShare – if you don’t have a presentation software you can set one up right there. Then you just download it to your desktop and upload it to another presentation platform.

All Rights Reserved. authorStream is probably my favorite presentation sharing website, it’s not as large as SlideShare (yet) which brings its advantages. The owners of the platform are really hands on and help promote the content of premium users. It’s also easier for your content to stand out.

If a large amount of people watch, share or download your presentation then your content can get chosen as featured and will be shown on the front page of the website as top content. My content has been chosen often, as a result I’ve gained a lot website traffic from it.

Side note: It’s always interesting to me to see what people respond to the most, sometimes I write content I think is a home run, but then I publish and hear crickets. Yet, other content that I don’t feel is my best work gets a ton of traffic. This is why we need to listen to our audience tell us what we should write about.

Truthfully, I haven’t been using this site for very long but I like the ease of uploading so I will continue to use it to see if I can get some traction from it. It’s growing and there’s gossip of new features on the horizon so I’ll stay with it for a while.

26. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. Everything worthwhile takes a little work! But like anything else when it comes to planning out a marketing strategy once you get the platforms and a process set up it really is rather effortless.

We have a presentation template that we use for Perfect Marketing Equation and the only thing that gets changed out is the title and the main content pages. So it really is pretty easy. If you’ll look at my content across all the three channels you see that my presentations all look alike.

ONE: Nobody cares, so don’t kill yourself creating dazzling presentations that have words flying left and right. The content just needs to be good it doesn’t have to be fancy. Also, keep in mind most views come from a mobile device so it needs to be simplified to give the viewer the best experience.

This is a great way to ask people to follow you, share links to your social media and/or downloads you have available. These pages are stationary so they never have to be touched until they’re updated.

32. © Content Intellectual Property of Perfect Marketing Equation. All Rights Reserved. When you upload your presentations you’ll see an option to allow people to download them. I always get asked if I allow my presentations to be downloaded and the very quick answer is of course I do!

We create content to educate and share, if you’re going to put it out there you may as well let people download it. I think it’s awesome when my content gets downloaded! As a writer, I consider it a great compliment! 

What’s great about presentations is they can come up easier in organic results but for that to happen when setting up your profiles you’ll need to have a very consistent keyword structure in your marketing strategy. Each platform will ask you for keywords to classify your presentation slides.
