  2. 2. Location <ul><li>Hong Kong is situated in the south of China next to the Pearl River Delta and facing the sea. </li></ul>

  4. 5. <ul><li>Because of its location, Hong Kong has beautiful landscape including: beaches, mountains and a great amount of flora. </li></ul>
  5. 6. History <ul><li>Since 1842 until 1997 Hong Kong was a colony of the United Kingdom. Like this Hong Kong has a vast British heritage that is very well demonstrated in development of this region. </li></ul>
  6. 7. Government <ul><li>Hong Kong, along with Macau, is a Special Administrative Region. This means that Hong Kong only shares policies with China in terms of military defense and that all other matters of government are reserved to the Hong Kong authorities. </li></ul>
  7. 8. Economy <ul><li>Because of its grate independence towards China and also because of its past under the domination of the United Kingdom, Hong Kong has the most progressive and advanced economy of China and one of the most in the world. </li></ul>
  8. 9. Language <ul><li>In Hong Kong most of the people speak Cantonese a Chinese dialect but 39% of the population also speaks English as a second language and 3.1% use English as their usual language. </li></ul>
