For our project in year two we were tasked with presenting hbo communication to potential new students and their parents. We did this in a way that we felt comfortable with and this involved lot's of improvisation and humor. Important for us was simple information and entertainment since that would work best with our target audience. We divided the bachelor communication studies into six areas to make clear how broad the studies is, but also concretise what you can do with it since that isn't always clear and brings up many questions.
Feedback from the audience was very good and the questions were focussed on processes rather than substance, which makes me believe we did a great job explaining our studies substantionally, of course we answered most of the process questions afterwards.
Teachers also gave us great feedback and said we had shown a very unique style of presentation and they were happy with our enthusiasm even though they didn't completely agree with our approach of dividing the areas.
Later I realised we were wrong to divide communication since it envelops all parts and each area intertwines with others. Be as it may I'm still quite proud of this presentation and have fond memories of it.
