And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

    1. 1. My MannaExodus 16
    2. 2. Exodus 16:4-5 (NIV) 4Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will raindown bread from heaven for you. The people are to go outeach day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will testthem and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5On thesixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is tobe twice as much as they gather on the other days."Exodus 16:14-18 (NIV) 14When the dew was gone, thin flakeslike frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. 15Whenthe Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" Forthey did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is thebread the LORD has given you to eat. 16This is what the LORDhas commanded: Each one is to gather as much as he needs.Take an omer for each person you have in your tent." 17TheIsraelites did as they were told; some gathered much, somelittle. 18And when they measured it by the omer, he whogathered much did not have too much, and he who gatheredlittle did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as heneeded.
    3. 3. Holman Bible DictionaryMANNA – Grain like substance, considered to be food fromheaven, which sustained the Israelites in the wilderness andforeshadowed Christ, the true Bread from heaven.Old Testament – The small round grains or flakes, whichappeared around the Israelites’ camp each morning with thedew, were ground and baked into cakes or boiled (Exodus16:13-36). Their name may have come from the question theIsraelites asked when they first saw them: “What is it ?” Somescholars believe that the word manna is a derivative of theEgyptian word for “menu.” Today a type of manna has beenidentified with the secretions left on tamarisk bushes byinsects feeding on the sap. The Bible emphasizes that Godcaused manna to appear at the right time and place to meetHis people’s needs.New Testament Jesus assured the Jews that He, and not thewilderness food, was the true Bread from heaven whichconferred eternal life on those who partook of it (John 6:30-58).

Theycooked it in a pot or made it into cakes. And it tasted likesomething made with olive oil. 9When the dew settled on thecamp at night, the manna also came down.

Every person who was entitled was to gather an omer (halfa gallon) daily for five days (Exodus 16:16-23).2. The full omer was to be eaten daily—nothing being left overfor the next day (Exodus 16:19).3. On the sixth day they were to gather two omers apiece—one for that day and one for the Sabbath (Exodus 16:22-30).4.
