    3. 3. The ESRB <ul><li>The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) </li></ul><ul><li>Established by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) </li></ul><ul><li>ESRB assigns computer and video game content ratings </li></ul>
    4. 4. <ul><li>Early Childhood - ages 3 and older. </li></ul><ul><li>Contains no material that parents would find inappropriate. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: Dora The Explorer </li></ul>
    5. 5. <ul><li>Everyone - ages 6 and older. </li></ul><ul><li>May contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: Harvest Moon </li></ul>
    6. 6. <ul><li>Everyone 10+ </li></ul><ul><li>May contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: Lego Star Wars </li></ul>
    7. 7. <ul><li>Teen- ages 13 and older. </li></ul><ul><li>May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: Too Human </li></ul>
    8. 8. <ul><li>Mature- ages 17 and older. </li></ul><ul><li>May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: God of War </li></ul>
    9. 9. <ul><li>Adult Only- 18 years and older. </li></ul><ul><li>May include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity. </li></ul><ul><li>Example: Critical Point </li></ul>
