  2. 2. The Earth’s Oceans… <ul><li>The Earth's oceans cover about 140,500,000 square miles! </li></ul><ul><li>They contain almost 330,000,000 cubic miles of water! </li></ul>
  3. 3. Only 3% is fresh water… <ul><li>80% of the surface of the earth is water but only 3% is fresh water we can actually use…not a lot is it? </li></ul>
  4. 4. He looks a bit tense….! <ul><li>The water we use today is the same water the dinosaurs used…it just goes round and round! </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>1.5 billion people do not have access to a safe and adequate water supply…. </li></ul>More than…
  6. 6. Snow… <ul><li>Fresh, incompact snow is actually 90-95 percent trapped air. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Even Einstein….. <ul><li>Humans require about 2.5 litres of water a day…yes even Einstein did! </li></ul>

  11. 11. <ul><li>A shower can use 19 litres of water every single minute…wow! </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>The average toilet uses 19 to 26 litres of water per flush… </li></ul>

Even with all the fresh water we actually have… <ul><li>Some of it is unfit for human consumption. </li></ul><ul><li>What water we have…we waste… </li></ul><ul><li>A lot contains dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium – often called hard water that are difficult to remove! </li></ul>
