Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for
he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my
name before the Gentiles and kings and the
children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how
much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”
Acts 26:16-18 But rise and stand upon your feet, for I
have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you
as a servant and witness to the things in which you have
seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, 17
delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles
— to whom I am sending you 18 to open their eyes, so
that they may turn from darkness to light and from the
power of Satan to God, that they may receive
forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are
sanctified by faith in me.’
1 Peter 3:15 but in your hearts honor Christ the
Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a
defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for
the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness
Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord
and in the strength of his might. 11. Put on the
whole armor of God, that you may be able to
stand against the schemes of the devil.
Philippians 4:6,7 do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you
meet trials of various kinds, supplication.
Isaiah 43:1-2 But now thus says the LORD,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
