Policy/Legislation

2011/2012 Legislative Session
    Joint Use Agreements: Legislation passed
encouraging schools to open up their facilities,
like gymnasiums and tracks, to provide greater
access to physical activity. This legislation clarifies
that the liability rests with the user not the school
     system.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety: Revised legislation
which broadens the requirement that drivers
exercise due care to apply to bicyclists and
     pedestrians.
