  3. 3. Objective of the ENSC competition• Stimulate ideas for new applications in the growing market for satellite navigation• Foster ideas with commercial potential• Support their inventors to bring idea to market

Key Facts ESNC 2010• 357 idea submissions from 44 countries• 182 experts involved in the evaluation• Supported by the most relevant institutional stakeholders: European Space Agency (ESA), European GNSS Agency (GSA), German Aerospace Center (DLR)• 30% of all start-ups supported in one of the ESA Business Incubation Centers comes through the ESNC• Cooperation for development and testing with the European Network of 220 Living Labs 4

  6. 6. Competitions and Prizes (1/2)• 24 regional competitions• 8 special topics prizes (ESA, GSA, DLR, NavTeq…)• Catalan Challenge Prize • First price: 10.000€, 1-year incubation at CTAE and 15 days coaching • 2nd and 3rd: 1-year incubation at CTAE
  7. 7. Competitions and Prizes (2/2)• The overall winner – the GALILEO Master – will be chosen from the regional winners and the special topic winners. Price grant of EUR 20,000, awarded by the Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) and the European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA). In addition, the GALILEO Master will get the chance to enter a six-month incubation programme in his favoured region to realise his idea
