United Nations Sustainable Development/Agenda 21 (Agenda 21) In the mid 90’s I sat on the Santa Cruz Local A-21and heard crazy ideas. Today, Sustainable Development is being implemented in every county in America. Santa Cruz is simply ahead in its implementation. I am duty bound to disclose what I experienced and have come to understand. The ideas behind Agenda 21 cover All aspects of life. [In the Sustainable Short Series episodes] I will show: How Sustainable Development restructures American legal, economic, and government systems. The consequence of Agenda 21 ACTION plans that are determined by ‘consensus’, stacked by ‘stakeholders’ and driven to a predetermined outcome. That the consistency in Sustainable Development’s implementation is that each program is designed to obtain massive and increasing control over any and ultimately every human action - using any means practical for the achievement of this goal. How the implementation operates to meet the stated objective: the global elimination of private property. (Ownership of property is to be placed into business/government combinations.) The present categories of the ‘Sustainable’ system include: Agriculture – restraints on commercial agriculture, government control of farmer’s; a) water and crop selection, b) land and crop management. Edible landscaping (upon approved application). Ecosystem management. Control and/or elimination of human activity on most of the landscape without regard to whether the land is public or private. This population control element is implemented on the basis that animal species, plants and natural formations trumped individual or human interests. Education . Inculcate values consistent with world citizenship in a global collective. Energy . Alternative sources, reduction of use (supply). Housing . Government controlled, managed and subsidized Population . Control the rate of increase; human reproduction. Focus away from family centric. Public health . Government policies to result in a plant based diet. The biological integrity of all species is to be considered on a par with humans. Resources and Recycling . Because the middle class is “unsustainable”, “Sustainability” will require an imposed reduction of available resources. Reuse – flush, process and pump to the tap. Fresh water is for fish! Social Justice . Forget Equal Justice. Use of the law to compel “proper attitudes, values and behavior”. Use carrots and sticks to reward compliance and punish the independent minded. Focus of justice - group concerns as superior to the individual. Criminal sanctions can be imposed without harm caused or evil intent. Use of the “Precautionary Principle” as a foundation for law replacing the criminal presumption of innocence and the Equal Justice standards for civil law presumptions and burdens of proof. Global Land use Education Population control County Board of Supervisors quietly and passed Agenda 21’s. Santa Cruz examples of land use implementation – Watershed councils, Fire Safe Council (HCP), Homeowner’s Association by laws, Community Plans, “ACTION” groups, ‘visualizing’ sessions, redirecting infrastructure toward mass transit, and dense government sponsored and controlled real estate development Santa Cruz is a Laboratory for Agenda 21. County Measure C is Agenda 21 and was passed

Tools of theft Conservation easements Regulation – Bay Sanctuary - 25 enforcement agencies Creating battered ‘willing sellers’ ESA – worst fears coming true as put bugs, plants, and animals are deemed more important than people. Santa Cruz – timber, sanctuary, HCP, NRCS “Best Management Practices”, water policy, thousands of red tags Know the Constitution - Citizen ownership of resources are necessary for making a land of the free - Repeal ESA When government controls Natural Resources and Land - - The government controls human action and private property becomes eliminated If you have been lured by Smart Growth, re-examine your Premise and ask : Is sprawl and choice so bad? Is development of water sources so wrong? Are more car lanes so distressing? Transition : Big government is a bi-partisan pursuit.
Demonstrating the ‘Global to Local’ dynamic of Sustainable Development
These are words that should put your antenna up to be on the alert that where these words appear where SD programs most likely exist. They don’t have the same meaning that an older Webster’s dictionary would ascribe to them. TAKE A Brief LOOK at these words We’ll discuss a few of them Starting from the top CONSENSUS = Group Manipulation; AFFORDABLE HOUSING means Government Housing Friends of… 1000 friends of Oregon Friends of Buena Vista Friends of Locally owned Water ACTION stands for “Agenda 21 Community Teamwork in Operation NOW (hold up Agenda 21?) FACILITATOR means someone who has typically gone through some form of Leadership training teaching people to CONFORM and COMPLY w/ a predetermined outcome Stakeholder - stakeholders are used to put a stake through private property
BREAK – Old Mack Donald’s Biosphere The Environmental movement as a tool to restructure American society: 1. Seeks to abandon American founding principles. The focus is on the Unalienable Right to the use and enjoyment of one’s property (Can’t pollute the air, water or property of another; Can’t nuisance others or violate their equal rights) 2. Sustainable Development seeks to transform society : from a voluntary society to compliant one. from a nation of free people to a homeland of controlled citizens.
A partner to government agencies
So where has the media been? All Americans ought to begin asking this question.
At the root of political philosophy sits the basic question: “Who decides”? Throughout human history the answer has generally been; ‘He who holds the power to legally use physical force’. Mankind’s greatest achievement occurred when 13 small colonies of the British Empire withdrew from the Empire and formed a union predicated on a different answer to the question “who decides”. The union of American states strictly limited the legal use of physical force and pronounced the establishment of a system of self-government predicated on the idea that each man has an un alienable right to his property (a right to act and to enjoy the fruits of one’s action), his liberty (a right to his own thoughts and to express those thoughts) and to the life that represents his unique potential (a life of one’s own). Government under this model exists for the purpose of protecting those rights. Today this great achievement is hanging by a thread the in the nation whose people have benefited so greatly from it. The undermining of the American ideal has happened from within. Its implementers include the knowing (those who want the power to decide for others), the foolish and those enticed by the offer of poison candy from those agents who seek government control of economic activity in order to begin the collectivization of human action in a full and final way. The strategy of “sustainable development” or government/private partnerships is the international movement organized at the United Nations that seeks elimination of private property. The target is America. The goal is to collectivize man under global standards where mans “rights” are his by way of authoritarian grants as determined from time to time by the ruling elite. This elite seeks to rule by making the limit on the legal use of force subject to the elite’s determination. Even democracy does not serve as a deterrent. As Plato warned, unrestrained democracy leads to and does not prevent a dictatorship. George Washington expressed clearly the idea that government is not reason nor is government seek to persuade. Government, he said, is force . Government legalizes its use of force. The moral purpose for government’s use of force is to protect man’s unalienable rights –those that are imbued or are inherent to man by virtue of his nature as a man. This political premise promotes man’s respect for his fellow man and assures each man the freedom to act provided that his action does not violate another man’s equal right to one’s own life, liberty and property. The contemporary battlegrounds for this war over political philosophy are education, American foreign policy and control of American rural lands. On each front the ideals of liberty are losing. In each case the internationalist advocates for a global political order have succeeded in causing the American citizens to become increasingly dependent on a system of rules that grant the agent of force the right to decide. A forest landowner can no longer choose to log a tree, a parent must comply with the government’s educational edicts, a homeowner must gain approval for deciding the color of his home, war is declared by a single executive. The suppression of our right to choose and the abandonment the American philosophical premise is accelerating. Only an awareness of the principals at stake can reverse this trend. The United Nation's Declaration of Human Rights, article 17 section 2 proclaims that “property shall not be arbitrarily taken”. So what is wrong with that? It sounds pleasant enough. But here’s the question: Who determines what is arbitrary and what is the standard for deciding? The answer to these questions isn’t apparent from a review of the U.N. governing documents. The decision maker is the ruler be he one individual or a consortium of individuals. The standard is the standard of the ruler’s choosing. What is certain is that a struggle will ensue between competing ruling groups seeking control of the masses on their terms. Such a struggle will produce prolonged or perpetual warfare. By contrast the American ideal protects property that has been obtained by way of production or trade from confiscation. The exception under the American ideal is limited by standards which require that a citizen’s private property can only be taken for a public use and upon the payment of just compensation. Such standards promote raising prosperity, human happiness and peace. To illustrate the application of the U.N.’s sustainable developments prohibition of “arbitrary takings” of property I'll cite an example from my community which is located, on the central coast of California. Recently environmental protection a fish land ordinance was passed. The purpose of this ordinance is to extend the landmass reserved for fish health from the side of the stream halfway to the ridge. Any “inappropriate development” within that area is to be “decommissioned”. Inappropriate development includes roads and homes. This community is a formal participant in the United Nations Agenda 21/sustainable development “action” program. Under sustainable development private roads and homes that are within the “fish land” and that are determined “inappropriate” will not have been taken”arbitrarily”. This is because the elite have determined an environmental priority exists that supersedes an individual’s right to to the use and enjoyment of their home. So much for the government’s role in the protection of unalienable rights! The real point here is to demonstrate how the environmental movement is a tool to advance the political philosophy that seeks to control humanity by decree. What this represents is the is a growing march by the essence of evil. This comparison illustrates the opposing philosophical premise of the political globalist and the American ideal. Reversal of this trend requires awakening to the principles and the glory of liberty and awareness of the massive threats that liberty now faces.
