5 Ways to Get More CrossFit Members Online

  1. 1. 5 Ways to Get More CrossFit Members Online Used by 100+ boxes around the world
  2. 2. ABOUT US We’re Push Press Labs and we’ve worked with over 100 CrossFit boxes worldwide. Founded by CrossFitters with backgrounds as diverse as management consulting, fitness operations, wellness coaching, digital marketing and the innovation space, Push Press Labs offers a suite of products to make the internet work for CrossFit affiliates and businesses in the fitness industry. Let’s get started……
  3. 3. 1. Google Places Google Places can be your best friend for your CrossFit box. It can also hurt you. When people search for CrossFit in Google, all the local CrossFit boxes will show up. You’ll want to make sure that your Google Places page is fully filled out.
  4. 4. Google Places Checklist Images Upload at least 5 nice images to your Google Places page. Include community photos, your logo and people working out. Video It might be wise to include a short video about your box. It might help people understand what you’re all about. Description Don’t write just anything. Make sure your description is informative and attention grabbing. Reviews Reviews are crucial. Try to get some good reviews from customers. After 4 reviews, the stars show up on Google Places. Citations Get citations from other sites such as directories and other review sites such as Yelp, CitySearch and Yellow Pages. Correct Information Make sure all your information is correct. This includes names, URLs, store hours, etc.
  5. 5. 2. Paid Search Pay Per Click advertising might be a viable option for your box. You’ll need to do some keyword research and and develop a target market. Paid search obviously isn’t free so you should be careful with your spending and make sure you’re getting a return on investment. This works better if you have a great website or a landing page to send people to.
  6. 6. 3. Review Sites Not only should you properly fill out your pages on review sites, but you should actively be trying to get great reviews. 1 Claim your page and verify for some review sites. Fill them out. Properly. 2 Ask trusted people to leave an honest review. 3 DO NOT use fake reviews.
  7. 7. 4. Your Website You probably already have a website. But do you have a website that works? A website has 2 main purposes. To get the right people to visit your site and to get them to take specific action. Does your website do this? A website is your main marketing tool and it needs to be setup right.
  8. 8. Website Checklist Contact Information Make sure all your contact information is easy to find. This means phones numbers, addresses, emails and even Google maps. Above The Fold Keep your most important information above the fold. The fold is everything on your screen before you have to scroll down. Blog Blogging is a great way for people to find you as well as interact with current members. Start with posting WODs. About Us Your about us page is your time to shine. Is it snappy and interesting or is it boring? Make people want to be around you. Call to action What do you want visitors to do? Do you want them to call, fill out a form, email you? Make sure they know what they should do. Social Media Integration Do you have social media icons, like boxes and +1 areas on your website? Try it out!
  9. 9. 5. Search Engine Optimization Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is more of a long term strategy. This is not a quick fix and won’t result in leads right away, but it could be worth your while in the long run. SEO is basically how well you rank in the search engines. The better you rank could mean better business.
