Model and method to characterize PLE developments <ul><li>Characterization of PLEs according to the driving disciplines </li></ul><ul><li>The list of disciplines can be extended if new influences can be identified (e.g. evolutionary biology; see EFEPLE workshop) </li></ul><ul><li>Different kinds of features </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Core features of one discipline, like self-regulated learning (pedagogy) or tool interoperability (technology) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Core for one discipline, peripheral for another one </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Peripheral for more disciplines (e.g. core for another area) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Characterization along these discipline-related feature groups, which we call ‘PLE flavors’ </li></ul><ul><li>Currently we see these three dominant areas </li></ul>11-13/07/2011 PLE Conference,Southampton, 2011 /9 , ©
