Pre-injury StatusBefore his injury this 22 year oldmale lived at home and worked20 hours in a 7-11 as a cashier.He was a senior at acontinuation school and wasdoing reasonably well. He mayhave finished his high schooldiploma in half a year.
Pre-injury StatusHe loved to work out withweights, ride his motorcycle andhang out with friends almostevery night. He took care of hishome and shared theresponsibilities of the householdwith his girlfriend who workedfull time.He did not have a car andoccasionally used the bus to goto town. He had no pre-existingillnesses.
Present ConditionAfter his injury this patient hasresumed his former job for 10hours a week. He feels he is notmentally up to starting studiesagain. He has taken onhousehold responsibilities and isat home with his 2 children.He sees other people and goesout, but significantly less thanbefore. He has not returned todo sports and cannot drive amotorcycle.
Present ConditionThere are frequent but tolerabledisruptions in his life due tostrain and anger outbursts,about once a week. He can takecare of himself completely onhis own and can be left alonefor a day or more without anyproblem.
Present ConditionHe uses the bus or a taxi to goout on his own, and has notrouble shopping even if hedoes not do it as much asbefore. He does have a mildspeech impairment and doesnot concentrate as well asbefore the accident. He feels hehas trouble remembering newthings and suffers fromheadaches and dizziness aswell.
