Butterfly is a set of information you want to share with others. It's not always possible to get the information you are looking for - from your favorite search engine (in my case it's Google , for now). Let's call that information Caterpillars of Google . 7. 7. We need a robust web application ( Google Wave like) to support a standalone application ( Gtalk like). Why we need a standalone application? We want our users to create content while they surf & share it with their friends. We want to have Chatting feature. We want to have micro blogging feature. Why we need a web application? We want to have features similar to groups, forums, emailing (waving) & most importantly the "Like" button feature.
  8. 9. Eggs : These are the crawled web pages by our web application (business/original content websites). Butterfly : Information created by the user Caterpillar : Questions/Help asked by user Incubators : Contact list of user Pupa : This status is automatically created when some one answers to caterpillar. Private content will not be available for public search (Butterfly search engine). Though URLs listed on private pages will be crawled. Caterpillar to Butterfly: This feature is just like forum. Once caterpillar is converted to butterfly (by originator) we will create our own simple HTML page covering that topic. This page will be available for public search.
