16. 16. ParametersSetting
17. 17. Master Plan  Setup  Parameters
General Tag
1
3
2
18. 18. 1. 1 Static Master Plan
Calculate requirements based on current data.
The plan remain unchanged until next static master plan running.
It is an operation plan most likely run by purchaser or production planner.
19. 19. 1.2 Dynamics Master Plan
Calculate requirements based on net requirements.
It is an sales plan most likely run under the changing of sales order.
20. 20. 1.3 Dual Plan
Single plan (both static and dynamics are the same plan) and Dual plan (use different plan for static and dynamics).
Dual plan is used while sales simulation without affecting current results.
Single plan is used when the sales simulations is usually firmed to planned order.
21. 21. 2.1 General Coverage Group
It is default item coverage group in running master plan when item has not defined Item coverage group.
Priority:
Item Coverage >> General Coverage Group
22. 22. 2.2 Future Time
If receipt time > future time, one day will be added in future day (planned day).
E.g.
23. 23. 3. Today date
Running master plan based on this calendar.
User can select different calendar and run master plan.
24. 24. Master Plan  Setup  Parameters
Planned Order Tag
4
25. 25. 4.1 Find Trade Agreement
Search vendor either in lowest price or shortest lead time when running master scheduling.
26. 26. 4.2 Receipt Time
Automatically assigned to planned production order.
If receipt time > future time, future message will be generated.
User can choose amend delivery date (receipt date of planned order) as future date.
27. 27. Master Plan  Setup  Parameters
Standard Update tag
5
28. 28. 5.1 Group by Vendor/ buyer / Period
Group planned purchase order by vendor / buyer / period.
29. 29. MasterPlan
30. 30. Master Plan  Setup  Plans  Master Plan
Standard Update tag
7
6
8
31. 31. 6 Include criteria
User can include following criteria in master plan:
- On hand
- Inventory Transaction
- Sales Quotation (include %)
- RFQ
- Forecast Plan
32. 32. 7.1 Scheduling Method
Operation Scheduling
- Production will be scheduled in work center group and date
Job Scheduling
- Production will be scheduled in work center and time
33. 33. 7.2 Time fence (I)
Background capacity time fence
- Search for capacity which available
- usually 0 (search to today)
Finite capacity
- Time fence for finite production scheduling
Bottleneck capacity
- Time fence for bottleneck resources
Normally, finite capacity for short-term scheduling and bottleneck capacity for middle term scheduling
34. 34. 8. Forecast Plan
Forecast Plan: link to forecast plan
Reduction Key: used to reduce forecast amount in future
Alternative: set reduction principle in master plan
35. 35. Master Plan  Setup  Plans  Master Plan
Time Fence tag
9
36. 36. 9. Time fence (II)
Coverage: time fence for master plan cover
Freeze: will not create planned orders in this period
Firming: will automatically generate purchase / production order
Explosion: will explore BOM item in this period
37. 37. Con’t
Forecast Plan: Consider forecast in this time period.
Capacity: Consider working capacity for this period
Action Message: Time fence to consider action date
Future Message: Time fence to consider possible future date.
38. 38. Master Plan  Setup  Plans  Master Plan
Future Message tag / Action Message tag
10
11
39. 39. 10. Future Message
Update planned production / purchase / transfer order
- Update delivery date to possible future date
- e.g.
40. 40. 11. Action Message
Update delivery date to date which nearest requirement date
e.g.
41. 41. Master Plan  Setup  Plans  Master Plan
Safety Margin tag
12
42. 42. 12. Safety Margin
Receipt Margin
- Additional time for purchase receipt
Issue Margin
- Deduce issue requirements (Sales Order) from master scheduling
Reorder Margin
- Additional lead time for purchase in master scheduling
43. 43. Forecast Scheduling
44. 44. Forecast plan overview
Forecast Scheduling
Forecast
Plan
Forecast
Model 1
Forecast
Model 2
Forecast
Model n
………
ITEMs
45. 45. Inventory Management  Setup  Forecast  Forecast Model
Forecast Model
46. 46. 13
47. 47. 13. Forecast Model
Arrange sub-model for the forecast model
Run forecast plan using upper forecast model
48. 48. Master Plan  Setup  Forecast Plans
Forecast Plan
14
49. 49. 14. Define the forecast plan
User can select whether forecast plan include sales/purchase forecast
Select forecast model the forecast plan apply to.
50. 50. Inventory Management  Periodic  Forecast  Item  Entry
Item
15
51. 51. 15. Define forecast
Model: Define which forecast model to be run
Customer Account / Group: Create customer-based forecast
Item Allocation Key: allocate item ratio to item group
Sales Quantity: forecast Qty for 1 unit per forecast
Allocation: Set length of forecast period
52. 52. Item Coverage
53. 53. Inventory Management  Periodic  Forecast  Item  Entry
Item
15
14
16
54. 54. 14. Coverage
Coverage plan: Days coverage in this group
Coverage code:
- Period
- Requirements
- Min.Max
55. 55. Con’t
Period: consolidate requirements by period
Requirements: Driven by sales order / forecast
Min/ Max: Safety stock
56. 56. 15. Positive & Negative Days
Positive days: Days of period not issue PO under positive requirements
Negative days: Days of period not issue PO under negative requirements
57. 57. 16. Others
BOM version requirements: Requirements by BOM version.
Route Version requirements: Different route will be taken consideration in coverage planning
58. 58. Planned Order
59. 59. Master Plan  Periodic  Forecast Plan / Master Plan
17
60. 60. 17. Planned Order
Select master plan / forecast plan to run
Planned order will be generated
Release planned purchase order / production order / transfer order in
“ Master Plan  Place  Planned”
