Editor's Notes

  • Important stimulans in general: OA policy from funders.
The European Commission supports OA: translated it into policy for EC funded research projects
  • Open Access publications and research data are harvested from repositories. But also descriptive metadata will be ingested and linked to publicatios. All this information is cleaned, de-duplicated and linked.
By developing a European-wide research information system
a range of services can be developed.
  • Harvest publications from different from different sources, presented in clear way on projct page.
Interoperable network appears: publications and data linked to FP7 and Horizon 2020 project information are collected, enriched, deduplicated and disseminated through OpenAIRE.
Offer integrated scientific information: overview of all information in one place
  • Five funders
  • a multitude of resources to help with any open access related questions
  • Still have questions: we have a helpdesk system were you can select an area. It wil bring you into contact with one of our 33 national contact points: NOADs provide support on national level.
