Types of Cosmetic Surgery

  1. 1. Types of Cosmetic Surgery
  2. 2. Cheek Lift A cheek lift or mid-facelift restores fullness to the cheek, softens deep lines extending from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth and raises the outer portion of the eyebrow, creating a more rested and youthful appearance. The cheek lift may be done as a single procedure or with other facial surgeries.
  3. 3. Face-lift A face-lift is a cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin from your neck and lower jaw line (jowl) to give your face a more youthful and rested appearance. The results of a face-lift range from subtle to dramatic, depending on the aging changes present before your surgery.
  4. 4. Wrinkle Treatment Wrinkle treatments are cosmetic procedures that can temporarily soften the deep creases in skin caused by sun damage, smoking and aging. How long the results last depends on the wrinkle treatment used.
  5. 5. Botox Botox is the best known of a group of medications that use various forms of botulinum toxin to temporarily paralyze muscle activity. Noted primarily for the ability to reduce the appearance of some facial wrinkles, botulinum toxin injections can also treat repetitive neck spasms, excessive sweating, overactive bladder and some causes of crossed eyes. Botulinum toxin injections also help prevent chronic migraines in some people.
