  2. 2. CONTENT OF THE PRESENTATION 1. Overview of current status of the country's activity in readiness (e.g. activities implemented, achievement to date, proposal development for GCF, AF etc.) 2. What are the positive (and negative, if any) lessons from PPCR for the current readiness activities 3. How different institutions within the country are coordinating among themselves (or not) 4. Information, capacity and/or financial gaps that Tajikistan is facing in enhancing readiness and in developing the project pipeline.
  3. 3. 1. STATUS OF THE COUNTRY'S ACTIVITY ON READINESS For GCF  The first draft submitted  The template has changed (it took long time to process)  Currently rewriting the proposal according to the new template
  4. 4. FOR ADAPTATION FUND, CIF ETC  For CIF  PPCR projects of Tajikistan are being implemented  The only government led Program  SREP proposal from Tajikistan was not supported  For AF  Focal Point is nominated  No cooperation so far … GCF is becoming the only Fund available

HOW DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS WITHIN THE COUNTRY ARE COORDINATING AMONG THEMSELVES (OR NOT)  There is an established Coordination Mechanism under PPCR (ex. next page)  A need for modernization of the mechanism is becoming inevitable  New mechanisms with similar scheme are emerging  Committee for Environment Protection is appointed FO for most of the Environment Funds
