9. Discussion questions
1. How could the MWP support efforts underway by relevant existing
initiatives (EIs) to help scale up mitigation efforts in the near term?
• MWP commitments must be aligned with those of EIs
• Concrete, stronger commitments must be urged under MWP
• MWP to make a stronger call for multiple-source investments for EE, RE
and related infrastructure
• MWP should ensure EIs are regular dialogues attendees
2. How could the work of relevant ongoing mitigation-related initiatives
feed into and inform the MWP process to make it more impactful?
• Active involvement of EIs in MWP dialogues (events)
• Progress reports should be shared regularly
• Parties should showcase their progress/challenges in energy transition
