For more information, see www.oecd.org/greengrowth Local economic strategies for ageing and shrinking labour markets Key policy questions: • Identify management practices for older workers and relevant support mechanisms • Identify local economic strategies and initiatives to address the challenge of ageing skills ecosystems (role of public employment services, education and training, private sector) Methodology: • Policy desk research, firm surveys, local case studies, expert roundtable • Local initiatives case studies in France (Bourg en Bresse employment area), Lithuania (Marijampole district), Canada (British Columbia ), the UK (South Wales) • Study visit/capacity building in July 2015 (dates to be confirmed) • Output: 2 reports “policy briefs” 4
