activities in the DRC through illicit trade of natural
resources
• Gather and analyse information regarding the
regional and international support networks to
armed groups and criminal networks in the DRC
• Evaluate the impact of minerals traceability … and
continue collaboration with other forums

• Engagement of FDLR in local-level taxation and
the exploitation of gold
• Taxation on gold production in Shabunda by Rai

• In Misisi senior FARDC officers and rebels are
involved in gold production
• Kampala based businessmen including the
directors of sanctioned entities (Uganda
commercial Impex and Machanga Limited)
purchase the gold smuggled from DRC including
from areas controlled by armed groups
