First day on the job, a freshly minted
employee is greeted with a welcome packet,
company tour, and lunch with the team.
That week, he or she is taken to different
meetings, shown around the lunchroom,
and educated on the dress code.

welcome or a first-week process.
INSTEAD, GREAT
ONBOARDING TAKES TIME.

HERE ARE THE
Have new hires complete onboarding
paperwork online to streamline the
first day of work.
Send a welcome message from the executives
of your company and get the team to sign a
welcome card. Both touch points will
showcase your company culture and
enthusiasm for your new hire.
BEFORE THE FIRST DAY:
Create a comfortable workstation to help
your new hire hit the ground running, and
present them with a branded gift item so
they can show off their pride in the company.
Ask new hires to do a short “about me”
presentation in their first meeting to help
them connect with their coworkers.
FIRST DAY ON THE JOB:
Teach them about company culture, business

30, 60, 90 day and year mark. This is a great
time to celebrate progress to date and reinforce
