  8. 8. Some Special FX</li></li></ul><li>Observations<br /><ul><li>There is continually a performance.
  9. 9. In most of their videos they use some form of Special FX. This is usually animations and in ‘Take Me Out’ rotoscoping.
  10. 10. Black & White.
  11. 11. Calm setting but alters with beat.
  12. 12. Jump-cutting and tracking shots are prominent aspects.
  13. 13. For the chorus of some of their songs, they include captions with lyrics.
  14. 14. Start the song off with solo guitar then drums kick in, followed by lyrics.
  15. 15. Lyrics made reference to themselves- ‘Do You Want To’ refers to the ‘trendy’ city of Glasgow. </li></li></ul><li>Unique<br /><ul><li>Mix with common looking folk, which for them looks out the ordinary and sinister.
  16. 16. Make themselves appear as outlaws within their narrative.
  17. 17. Primary do focus on Lead singer and instrumentals, but a fair perspective of remaining members is seen.
  18. 18. Band more often then not group together, rather than individually monitored.
  19. 19. Videos gain inspiration from Russian Avant-Garde. </li></li></ul><li>Mise-en-scene<br /><ul><li>Costumes – Retro, Indie and Scruffy. They tend to be within similar regions as one another, but occasionally are identical.
  20. 20. Body Language- Dancing in an automatic, possessed fashion and miming along.
  21. 21. Starts off with the lead singer walking towards the camera.
  22. 22. Instruments are notorious features of the video.</li></li></ul><li>Representations <br /><ul><li>Women are seen as inferior and are used amongst background features.
  23. 23. Men being represented by the band are seen as mischievous and adventurous as they are involved in shenanigans; this is also represented in their lyrics.
  24. 24. British men, due to the locations they are seen to be in and the scenarios they face.</li>
