1. Tiempo presente del verbo to be en las formas:

3. Forma positiva.Dependiendo del sentido de la frase se podrá
interpretar de diferentes maneras.
I amNínive. Yo soy Nínive.
I’m Luis. Yo soy Luis.
She ishappy. Ella está feliz.
They’re from Japan. Ellos son de Japón.
It isMonday. Eslunes.
He’smyfather. Él es mi papá.
You aremy best friend. Eres mi mejor amigo/amiga.
Nota:La forma larga del verbo to be (I am, you are, sheis) se utiliza
en los textos escritos y el habla formal. La forma corta
(I’m,you’are,she’s) se utiliza en el lenguaje hablado y en escritos
informales. El I am o I’m siempre va en mayúsculas, por ejemplo,
She is Alex and I am Luis.
Forma negativa. Se refiere a que algo/alguien no es o no está en
cierto estado, situación, etc. Se le agrega la palabra nota los
pronombres personales, por ejemplo I am not, she is not, etc. Y
para la abreviarlo se puede utilizar I’m not, sheisn’t, youaren’t, etc.
I am not Julie. No soy Julie.
He is notan engineer. Él no es un ingeniero.
You aren’t happy. Ustedes no estánfelices.
It isn’ta good day. No es un buen día.
We are notstudents. No somosestudiantes.
You are notGerman. Tu no eresalemán.
It is nota good time now. No es un buen momento ahora.
4. Forma interrogativa. En esta forma se invierte el orden,por
ejemplo, I am es am I? o she is es Is she?, etc. Puedes ver la tabla
del inicio las veces que quieras para que no te queden dudas.
