You may have heard the hype surrounding 4K, Ultra-HD and Apple’s Retina displays - all screen technologies which are quickly gaining traction with consumers as a superior replacement for regular HD video content. However, this raises the question: have these displays arrived too early? Have advancements in screen quality outpaced other limiting factors?

Despite the UK being considered one of the most technologically advanced nations in the world, our broadband internet speeds still aren’t fast enough to stream Ultra-HD content.
