Everyday, we are learning and receiving new information with guidance on how to safely reopen our schools. As we develop our plans for education, safety, and health, we are relying on experts and trusted resources to make informed decisions. This includes our Intergenerational Community. Responding to COVID-19 County Alert System Intergenerational Schools’ Response All students will have access to 4.5 days in person OR 100% remote learning 4.5 Days In Person 2/2.5 Days Hybrid 4.5 Days Remote Buildings closed, move to 100% Remote Learning for ALL students Families have option of 100% Remote Learning regardless of Level in 20-21 SUBJECT TO CHANGE: BOARD APPROVED ON JULY 29, 2020.

  9. 9. Boundless Learning Education SUBJECT TO CHANGE: NOT BOARD APPROVED AT THE TIME OF COMMUNICATION. In Person 4 days person, .5 day remote This option is best suited for 1) students whose caregiver is an essential worker and need a safe place for their child to be in order to maintain employment. 2) Students who do not have a caregiver that can help them log into the online program most days. 3) Students in need of additional support services documented in an IEP. Hybrid 2 days in person, 2.5 days remote Two cohorts of students rotating between Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday. This option is best suited for 1) students whose caregiver is an essential worker and need a safe place for their child to be in order to maintain employment for 2 days a week. 2) Students who do not have a caregiver that can help them log into the online program most days. 3) Students who could benefit from being in company with other children while following social distancing protocols. Remote 4.5 days of remote learning This option is best suited for 1) students who have a safe place to learn outside of the school building, five days a week. 2) Students who have medical conditions requiring them to drastically limit their contact with people outside of their current relationships. 3) Students whose caregivers are not comfortable with their child returning to the school building.

Health and Safety in the Building Arrival/Dismissal • Temperatures taken upon arrival • Modified arrival/dismissal procedures to support social distancing • Face coverings required for students and staff Meal Distribution • CDC-recommended personal protective gear utilized whenever handling any food- related items • Grab-and-Go Breakfasts; eaten in classrooms • Lunches delivered to, eaten in classrooms Classrooms • Reduced class sizes • Classroom layout changes to maintain social distancing • Table shields/guards for all • Limited transitions outside of classrooms Visitors and Visiting • Limited visitors and volunteers • No in person field trips • All visitors must wear a face covering • Visitors will be escorted while in the building Approved by the Intergenerational Schools' Boards of Directors on 7-29-2020

Educational Delivery: Assumptions Covid-19 Assumptions • Teaching remotely will be inevitable • Need to move between in-person and remote learning quickly • The pandemic cannot create a separate and unequal educational experience Teaching Assumptions • Students learn best with personalized instruction and feedback that is timely and specific. (Hattie) • Students learn to do independently what we provide opportunity for them to practice with support. (Allington) • Teacher collaboration leads to improved learning outcomes. Educational Delivery: Teaching Small Group Lessons • Live/In person small group and 1:1 instruction • Taught by licensed Intergenerational School teachers • Document camera and projector used to project the lesson to students in the classroom and online Whole Group Lessons • Mini-lessons recorded or presented live by Intergenerational School teachers • Read-A-Louds by teachers and Learning Partners • Available to the student throughout the day Independent Practice • Readers will receive consumable books • Assignments available on SeeSaw and Google Classroom • All students will have access to Math iXL Approved by the Intergenerational Schools' Boards of Directors on 7-29-2020

Educational Delivery: Special Education Students Identified for Special Education Services • All Individual Education Plans (IEPs) will be followed as written • Identified students will have access to all specialized services and service providers in all settings • Annual meetings and other meetings as needed will be held over Zoom or phone and documented Approved by the Intergenerational Schools' Boards of Directors on 7-29-2020

Positive Behavior Interventions & Support Tier 3 (For identified students) Access to mental health and social work support Tier 2 (For individuals): Weekly teacher-led advisory hours, one-on-one non-educational related discussions with students. Administrator-led advisory hours with staff Tier 1 (All students) Morning Meetings to check in with students overall mental state/well-being. Staff trainings on racial equity, trauma-informed-, and restorative practices.
