Introduction to search advertising Search advertising is a type of online advertising which works by matching advertisements with related content, either on individual web pages with similar themes, or by showing up on pages of search results. Advertisers of all sizes can use search advertising to fit almost any budget.
Cost and timeframe Search advertising is very flexible in terms of budget. You can set the keywords and campaigns from tens of dollars per month, to tens of thousands. Campaigns normally begin slowly so as to compile data and compare metrics from various different keywords. You might see the results immediately after ads start to show up.
Program management The first part of any online advertising campaign must be to determine budgetary requirements and limits. You should then come up with a plan based on analysis of keywords and market needs. After doing their due diligence, you should plan on running several different campaigns at the same time, especially at the beginning, to compare and compile data to see which one works the best for you.
Tips Looking for niche markets through alternate keywords is a great way to pick up bargains. If a major keyword is too expensive on Google, try the other search engines to see if they offer the same word at a discount.
Additional considerations Affiliate networks are a great way for advertisers and publishers to meet and exchange services. You can post advertisements in on other sites in exchange for commissions on sales.
