How they are feeling, what they had for breakfast. They poke, nudge, and write on one another’s walls. Blogs, Wikis etc will make thing just more complicated </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Work Isn’t a Democracy </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Not everyone should share information, which in turn effects decision making. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Social Media is reactive </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Blogs tend to be reactive to things that have already happened, good internal communication is proactive. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Social Media discourages quiet and thoughtful reflection, clear thinking, and process through the correct channels </li></ul><ul><li>Don’t know where to begin </li></ul>social media within business
  6. 6. <ul><li>Value for business Strategically implementing web 2.0 technologies (blogs, wikis, etc) </li></ul><ul><li>Social Media has grown because it works. </li></ul><ul><li>One reason why companies are bringing it into the their network is because employees are using it anyway. They are using resources, such as blogs and wiki’s to find information to use in their work, because its effective. More so than tools that where previously available. </li></ul><ul><li>Content is written for communities. People who share interests, insight. </li></ul><ul><li>Social Media helps people stay current. </li></ul><ul><li>It’s an effective means of gauging with one another. Especially informally, like Facebook. </li></ul>social media within business
