Research Overview
Sample Of 100 People
Targeted Only running students of different
department students under FBS but majority of
the response we got from our department
Made A Survey Questionnaire Of 10
Questions And Provided It To Our Targeted
Sample
Introduction
Faculty of business studies emerged as an
independent faculty in 1921. at present the
number of departments are 9.besides
regular curriculum this faculty runs evening
and some other programs since 2002.
So, according to the respondents from the
survey there exits many positive and
negative effect of these extra programs on
regular curriculum of faculty of business
studies .
Objectives
To find the effects of evening and
other private programs run by Faculty of
Business Studies.
To find out if this is the only reason
behind the bad reputation of FBS.
To find out the effects on Departments
To find out the effects on regular
students

Hypothesis testing
Here,
Sample Size, n= 100,
Sample Proportion, ṕ = .73,
Significance level, α= .05,
Population proportion, p = .80,
So, q = 1- p
= 1 - .80
= .20
P- Value approach:
Step-1: States the null and alternative hypothesis.
Ho: P = 0.80 (Not different from 80%)
H1: P ≠ 0.80 (Different from 80%)
Step-2: Select the distribution to use,
np = 100*0.80 = 80>5
nq = 100*0.20 = 20>5
Both np and nq are greater than 5. Here, it indicates large sample size and normal distribution will be
used
Step-3: Calculation of the p- value:
σp̂ = √(pq/n)
= √[(0.80*0.20)/100]
z=[(p
̂ -p)/ 𝜎p
̂
z= (.73-.80)/.04
Area to the left of z = -1.75.
From the normal distribution Table = 0.0401.
Therefore, p value = 2*0.0401
= 0.0802
Step-4: Make a decision:
• If P vale is ≥ α then accept the Ho
• If P vale is < α then fail to accept Ho
Therefore, it can be concluded that there are effects of evening and
other programs run by FBS on regular activities.
Findings
High financial revenues from Evening and private programs and
infrastructure development motivate departments to run evening
and private programs.
• Quality of education and reputation of the university are
decreasing day by day because of poor quality students of
evening programs
Extra workloads on teachers which hamper their regular
activities sometimes cause waste of time for the students
Class and exam schedules are normally not much hampered
due to evening programs
• Around 60% of the respondents believe that these
evening and other programs are not beneficial for the
regular activities of the departments.
p value is 0.0802 or 8% which is greater than α value 5% so
we should accept the null hypothesis.so there is effects of
evening and private programs on regular programs.
Conclusion:
 Both Positive and negative
effect have been found.
