The NAS called on MPs to take forward a Bill in parliament to challenge the exclusion from services that too many people with autism experience. The draft Autism Bill was launched in the House of Commons on 7 October at a crowded reception attended by MPs, campaigners and representatives from other autism organisations. Many MPs came along to the event and signed up to support the Bill, including Angela Browning MP - NAS Vice Chair and host of our event (pictured). A number of MPs have already pledged to take forward the Bill if selected in the forthcoming ballot for Private Members' Bills. Look out for more information soon on how you can ask your MP to do this, and bring the Autism Bill into UK law!
