Process
• Surveys conducted by hospital units cost
roughly $3.5B in total hospital cost per
year in the US. (0.1% of total healthcare
cost).
• Surveys require significant time from
hospital staff to administer, record and
analyze the data provided.
• Patients are seen at discrete/arbitrary
intervals, which makes the reporting highly
subjective and often inaccurate.
• Current survey published in 1980, revised
in 2000.

Surveying
Techniques
• A large hospital unit will spend $1M a
year on healthcare surveys
• This will increase as government oversight
(Affordable Care Act) forces hospitals to
maintain a close watch over their patient
recovery process
• While Mobiome will initially focus on
neurosurgical units, expansion to
orthopedics, cardiology, and physical
therapy units will make for impressive
growth potential
7. Revenue Model
Mobiome will reduce a hospital healthcare cost
by at least 25% at a rate of $68 per patient.
Large hospital units saves $250,000 per year.
Recurring revenues generate impressive year
over year growth rates.
Expandable to Orthopedics, Cardiology, Physical
Therapy, etc.

testing in our first hospital. A Beta version
will be completed in the first 2 months,
and the CEO will drive sales with the
additional two founders for the rest of the
year, unpaid if necessary.
Editor's Notes
Assessing patient disease status relies on patient’s subjective reporting (e.g. before surgery)
Survey instruments may be costly and have poor reproducibility
Surveys also require significant time for data collection
Monitoring treatment response patients seen at discrete/arbitrary intervals (e.g. after surgery)
Problem compounded in rural and underserved communities
Mobiome is changing the way healthcare providers monitor their patient’s recovery process. We are creating a next generation survey process that, in real time, monitors, analyzes and provides recommendation to healthcare providers.

Top two units of a hospital in terms of revenue production are orthopedics and neurology. Using the latter, and data obtained from the Mayo Clinic, we estimate the market size for medical surveys is .1% of the total healthcare market ($2.8T) or $3.5B. Very conservative from our view, because we assumed that each hospital has 1 unit that conducts surveys, when in fact some could have 4 or 5!
A large neurosurgical department will spend $1 million per year in order to collect pre/post operative surveys on 11,000 patients ($91 per patient)
