History• The garden was built by King Nebuchadnezzar, who ruled the city for 43 years starting in 605 BC.• Were built to cheer up Nebuchadnezzars homesick wife, Amyitis.• A green, leafy, artificial mountain rising off the plain. But did it actually exist? Herodotus praised and claimed it’s beauty, but never mentions this.
