  4. 4. ‹#› Copyright © 2017 NeedsList, Confidential & Proprietary The Aid Status Quo The NeedsList Way Aid driven by supply, not demand. We are needs driven: NGOs receive what they need, when they need it. Supplies typically sent from overseas in costly, gas-guzzling containers. We partner with local suppliers, boosting local economies and reducing carbon footprint. Siloed, Inefficient-- with high overheads, complex bureaucracies. Highly collaborative across sector with vetted, agile, and innovative NGO partners. Donors face lack of transparency, rampant mistrust of the system. Full transparency--items bought are real, not symbolic. Beneficiaries often only receive small percent of resources. Beneficiaries have needs met efficiently.
