#CultureCode - Join the Happiness Revolution

Naomi Simson
Naomi SimsonFounding Director RedBalloon, Author, Blogger, Speaker at Redii

This is the book I talk about in my recent LinkedIn post on culture. We have created ana amazing culture at RedBalloon which as seen us on the best employer list for the last 5 years - Join us in our happiness revolution - we are happy to share what we have learned about culture - and that each person can make a difference to those around them. This is our guide book - as a gift you can download your own copy of the Little Book of Happy - work through it. Have fun and take charge of your own culture quest - in the search for happiness. "When you lavish praise on people, they flourish. Criticize, and they shrivel up" - Richard Branson My LinkedIn post can be found at: https://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/20140626012331-1291685-culture-quest-in-search-of-happiness

COUNT YOUR LIFE BY smiles, NOT TEARS.
- JOHN LENNON -
Little RED BOOK OF HAPPY49
c Am a glass “half full” person I’m not unrealistic but can find the good in most situations
c Know that happiness is a choice I create happiness and don’t wait for it to find me
c Am ambitious I control my future and take the bull by the horns
c Rarely complain It’s a waste of energy and creates negativity
c Don’t often procrastinate There is no “right time”. I stay busy, I’m productive and I chase my goals
c Am sometimes fearful But I am not controlled or limited by fear
c Try not to blame others I alone am responsible for my actions
c Find ways to maximise my potential I am not more talented than anyone else, but I get the most out of my talents
c Avoid toxic people Healthy relationships are key to my happiness
c Take risks But calculated risks that deliver positive results
lITTLE RED BOOK OF HAPPY50
c Deal with my problems Quickly and effectively, head on
c Look for solutions I don’t get caught up in the problem
c Am proactive I follow the things that make me happy
c Love to learn I have a thirst for knowledge and understanding
c Think I am humble I can admit my mistakes and apologise when I need to.
c Can manage my emotions I have emotions, but they do not rule me
c Can delay gratification I can sacrifice short-term pleasure for long-term happiness
c Can adapt I embrace change in most instances
c Feel secure in myself I am not defined by what I own, who I know, where I live or what I look like
c Am generous and kind I take pleasure in helping others achieve happiness too
c Keep myself fit
My body is not necessarily a temple, but I stay in shape because I understand
the benefits of being healthy
c Let go of what I cannot control I don’t waste energy on things I cannot influence or change
c Love my job, but it does not define me I work to live, not live to work
c Have an off switch I can relax, let loose and enjoy life with the best of them
c Practice what I preach I do what I say I’m going to do
