This project goal was about the necessary techniques to conduct relevant and useful research of a novel domain in context. Forsyth Park (Savannah, GA) was chosen as the case study. The results were to gain knowledge and expertise to contribute to the design process in user-centered products and systems in which users’ goals and task needs are given primary importance. The project covered observations, interviews, contextual inquiry and design, questionnaires, and the creation of new and novel research techniques.

  6. 6. Enrichment of the park interactions is a inspiring merit among all its contrasted users. Background Opportunity How might we ? Supporting Data Dog owners as one of the main group of the users. Observation result During events you can barely find any trash at the ground! Observation result, Buddy walk festival Design Users look at Forsyth park as the heart of city and actively are engaged in it. There are positive and multi- directed efforts to enhance the park condition and interactions from overseers to organizers and users. All in all, they are for creation of social and cultural diversity for community who can feel delighted at the park! There is an opportunity for all these groups to work together or share their thoughts in an official way, so the results will be more tangible and practical. 1. Help the organizers of the events in set up and clean up processes 2. Help the secure patrons of the park to preserve the nature of the park and make their work easier 3. Facilitate the system of recycling of the park 4. Create a connection between event and class organizers to better understand the communities needs and desires 5. Create some activity facilitations for dog owners 6. Make the park more accessible for sport activities for all groups of users We can design a specific set of objects that are easy to set up and collect for event organizers. We can create a third party from community members to improve the current relationship and communication between Forsyth Park teachers and outside decision makers. (Selected for design based on design matrix) With special environmental educational programs like constant posters or workshops we could educate the people about the nature of the park, its current struggles, and its history. Also, in this way we could indirectly help the park protectors. There is not any recycling trash can at the park and maybe that is a reason that the trash cans are barely being used except the big events. How might we & opportunity map
