July – Launching of Organization Planning of Reading Camp English Garden – “Environmental Awareness” Parade of all the members Induction of officers First meeting of officers Preparation for Reading Camp Beautification of English Garden Be involved in school program. Ask to bring flowering plants and seedlings for the garden. Cleaning of English Garden every Friday. Put the English quotes and sayings, written on metal plates, on the garden. Plan for reading camp. July 3rd-4th week Reading Camp Fee P 50.00 each Saturday. Registration and recruitment Issuance of Parents’ Permit Giving leaflets, announcing the activity during assembly and putting posters to advertise the club’s project. Assure registered members that their parents need to fill-up the permit. Continuously and consistently maintaining the English Garden. August – September Reading Camp Fee P 50.00 each Saturday Skills to be enhanced: Vocabulary development Reading comprehension Spelling Writing Grammar Speech Fluency -Pupils attend classes during Saturdays of the given month to improve the different skills in the English subject. Beautification of English Garden October Read-a-thon Book Week Fee P 50.00 each Saturday Conduct storytelling contest, story-retelling contest, spelling bee, Solicit/donate books to the library and to To show love for reading. Join district and division read-a-thon contest.
