Which social group my magazine represents? In my magazine the social group it represent is “urban”. Urban music is the most pervasive and influential genre in popular music, topping charts around the world. This social group is represented through images (of models).
How would you define them?“Urban” kids define themselves by listening to, mainly, Hip-Hop music, listening to artists such as: Kanye West, Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent, Game etc. They would wear the clothes their favourite Hip-Hop artists would wear, such as: baggy designer jeans (below your waist), designer clothing (Gucci etc.), loads of jewellery (rings, watches, chains etc.), big designer sunglasses etc.
