How Does AIR-SPADE Work? <ul><li>Soil is unconsolidated assemblage of solid particles including clay, sand, rock, and organic matter. </li></ul><ul><li>Voids between particles occupied by air and/or water. </li></ul><ul><li>Compressed Air directed at close range enters voids and expands, fracturing soil instantaneously. </li></ul><ul><li>Non-porous materials, such as metal, plastic, cables, or tree roots are unaffected. </li></ul>

Supersonic Pass-Thru Air-Vac <ul><li>The technology is based on the same supersonic design as the Air-Spade nozzle. </li></ul><ul><li>The Pass-Thru Vac operates off of the same air compressor as the Air-Spade. </li></ul><ul><li>Different sized units will be available with variable hose sizes. The larger the hose size, the larger the air compressor requirement. </li></ul>
  38. 38. Supersonic Pass-Thru Air-Vac <ul><li>The Vac is lightweight and highly portable. </li></ul><ul><li>The Vac is designed to move soil from the excavation site to a point behind the operator. Up to 25’ of hose can be used. </li></ul><ul><li>The soil can be put onto a tarpaulin, into a barrel, on the back of a pickup truck, or just left on the ground. </li></ul><ul><li>The Vac can handle 2 to 3 cubic feet per minute. </li></ul>
