This seminar was the second in a series of seminars focusing on volunteering in a fair society organised by IVR in partnership with the ESRC and Northumbria University. This event questioned the role volunteering plays in improving employabilty and social mobility.

Volunteer England Any activity that involves spending time, unpaid, doing something that aims to benefit the environment or someone (individuals or groups) other than, or in addition to, close relatives. A volunteer is someone who gives their time and skills freely and by choice without concern for financial gain
