Face the wind

  1. 1. Face the Wind In life, there will be times when difficulties will blow your way. Maybe you experience something that’s tough for you emotionally, or even physically. However, you can have confidence that for every difficulty that blows your way, Jesus has a means to help you through it. It might seem natural to try to hide from problems, but sometimes there are specific lessons Jesus wants you to learn that can only be developed when you face the wind and allow it to make you stronger. You can trust Jesus to bring you through whatever the problem.
  2. 2. Letting Jesus guide you through a difficulty will result in growing in faith and trust in Him. You'll discover that you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, to give you not only the strength you need to go through the difficulty, but also His grace, comfort, and support. As Apostle Paul explained about the difficulties he experienced: “He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me. “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”1 1 2 Corinthians 12:9—10 AKJV
  3. 3. Remember, this difficult time will pass— either it will go away or you will receive the patience you need to go through it. My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing (James 1:2–4 AKJV). Turn to Jesus for your happiness and stability. He won’t disappoint. S&S link: Character Building: Personal Responsibility: Perseverance-2a Authored by Jackie Owens. Illustrations by Tiago.
